Attention SBFFs!
We are thrilled to announce another opportunity for our SALT Block Foundation Friends to experience the incredible Virgil Ortiz installation “I AM: Indigenous Ancestral Memory.” Clarissa Starnes, Hickory Museum of Art Executive Director, will lead us on an exclusive small group tour of this fascinating tour de force of sculptures, hand-painted ceramic vessels, costumes, video installations, augmented reality overlays, and photography. This event is enhanced by a thought-provoking Catawba Nation portrait gallery and traditional pottery exhibit. Don’t miss it!
